This year’s Christmas is a whole lotta… something else!
So, to help bring some extra cheer to this year’s celebrations, I wanted to create 5 festive Christmas outfits inspired by 5 typical holiday scenarios.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen them 1 by 1 in my Reels. But if you’re not following me (though you totally should 😉) I still wanted you to enjoy them here.
Because you still deserve to feel* your best this Christmas, and seeing yourself at your best definitely helps with that.
*Trust me, I’m a scientist (well, at least a Style Coach 😅)
And I’d love to hear which of my festive Christmas outfits you liked best! Is there one you would wear yourself?
Christmas Look 1: Nutcracker Season
My first look was inspired by the Nutcracker ballet- one of my dearest Christmas traditions 🩰
And since this year all performances have been cancelled, I decided to bring the spirit of the Sugarplum Fairy in my own home.
Childlike playfulness, but in a grown-up look!
I relied on my trusty tutu skirt, coupled with a thin merino sweater and velvet sandals- the ultimate winter indulgence and silver lining of spending Christmas fully indoors!
Christmas Look 2: Eggnog Season
Today, I’m dreaming of a white Christmas- complete with old cocktail bar, crystal glasses and delicious eggnog.
So I couldn’t miss twirling around in my vintage velvet dress from ASOS Marketplace, and my Chie Mihara heels. Still pristinely untouched by slushy sidewalks 😅
I completed the royal blue & gold look with 50’s red lips and a simple half-up do. I’m not the biggest fan of complicating my hair (you probably saw that in my hairdo inspo post as well), so this kind of style is perfect for me.
Christmas Look 3: Homemade Cookie Season
My third Christmas Day look is made for indulging in the best homemade holiday treats:
A midi shirt dress with a waist that doesn’t constrict, and a delicious, soft-feel fabric.
Something you can comfortably wear all day long!
If you’re having guests over, feel free to throw on a pair of velvety sandals and a dark red gloss (for texture contrast).
Or forego them altogether and settle comfortably on the couch with juuust one more freshly baked cookie!
Christmas Look 4: Hall Decking Season
The 4th of my Festive Christmas Looks was inspired by a peppermint candy cane. Because what better colours than white and red to celebrate Christmas Eve?
Courtesy of a vintage red silk top, and my oldie but goodie white lace skirt. I’ve been challenging myself to wear it in other outfits than summery ones, to get more use out of it.
What do you think? Good effort?
And with a pop of glimmer from accessories, you’re also ready to rival the most Christmas-y of decorations! Because your halls are not the only ones that deserve decking this time of the year, right?
Christmas Look 5: Old Movie Season
I don’t know about you but for me, Christmas morning means old movies!
Disney or cinema.
Watched in bed or on the couch.
Hot chocolate or warm cozonac in hand… Ok, both!
And if you’re like me, you’ll stay clad in your colourful, silky or fluffy PJ’s ’til noon. Nothing beats that indulgent feeling!
Now, tell me:
What movie is your absolute Christmas favorite?
Mine has been Disney’s original Beauty & the Beast, since I was a little girl.
I hope you enjoyed going through each and every one of my 5 festive Christmas outfits! And I hope they’ll inspire you to express your own personal style, every day in the New Year.
At the same time, I would like to launch an invitation for you here:
