5 Best Street Style Looks: Amsterdam Edition
First it was the paper magazines and the fashion shows on TV. Then it was the shift to online magazine websites. And finally, it was the turn of street style mavens, bloggers, Youtubers, social media influencers. Fashion is being viewed and consumed differently today, with a lot of us turning to street style muses for inspiration.
Which is what I did last Sunday as well. The weather was perfect, with a sunny afternoon after morning showers, so I took to the center of the city looking to capture some inspiring ladies with a strong sens of style on camera. And boy, did I find them!
Aya
I caught Aya right at the Spui art market, and I couldn’t help but do a double take on her boho, chill look. She gave me instant Sienna Miller vibes with her spot on, not-even-trying-but-looking-amazing outfit. Hats off for the fresh take on a shirt half-tuck, and for the beautiful leather jacket- a fall staple.
Natalia and Wojciech
Natalia and Wojciech have wonderful style, both individually and together. Wojciech’s coat and boots are perfection in terms of fall menswear. And Natalia has harmonised the colour of her hair, coat and scarf beautifully- you can see her eye for art and colour right there. Oh, yeah did I mention she is a photographer? Talk about serendipity!
Olivia
Olivia caught my eye with her dazzler of a coat: bubblegum pink, furry and embellished, it’s simply swoon-worthy in my book. I love how the bottom part of the outfit balances out the sweetness of the top, with a streamlined look thanks to black leggings and tough, thick-soled black boots.
Sara
Sara’s mega-watt smile won me over- and her fresh look here is top notch. Urban and minimalist, but with an extra kick from the embroidered bag (a favorite trend of mine). And just how cool is that raincoat? Just more proof that you don’t need to sacrifice style for comfort- and that a beige coat is a classic that never gets old.
Anissa and Taryn
Anissa and Taryn make a lovely pair in their head-to-toe black outfits with pops of colour. I’m loving the pairing between Taryn’s classic camel beige scarf and her tomato red nails! While Anissa broke up her monochrome look with a mustard colour backpack and a multicoloured light blue/tomato red scarf.
To me, these images are pure Amsterdam style: always comfortable, streamlined, on trend but with a twist. And most importantly, 100% them, with each and every one of these beautiful people’s own brand of style shining through.
Tell me: which of these was your favorite? Do you look to street style to inspire your own wardrobe? How do you choose your style inspiration sources these days?

Great ideas. I like looking at how other fashion bloggers interpret style. I look to trending fashion but make it my own. Thanks for sharing.
